Booking Terms & Conditions

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT POLICIES

This property has the following check-in and check-out times and policies:

  • Check-In: 3:00 PM
  • Check-Out: 11:00 AM

PROPERTY AND CANCELLATION POLICIES 

Plans change, things happen, we know. We also know it can be hard to sell a bed/room if guests don’t tell us they aren’t coming. That’s why we have this no-nonsense cancellation policy:

  • If you have booked directly with us, let us know if you need to cancel. All cancellation will be 100% refundable 12 days prior to check in, If you cancel on the day of your reservation you will be charged 100% of the booking total.
  • If you have booked via a third party, let us check your cancellation policies for you and we’ll let you know. 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Our reception is open 24 hours a day. No one under the age of 18 unsupervised by an adult. Check in time: 3pm. Checkout time: 11am

Kindly note we do not have our own parking. Street parking is available at a fee of about R18 per hour from Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00 and Saturday from 08:00 – 13:00.
 
Alternatively, the Old Christian Barnard Memorial Hospital across the street from us also offers secure parking at a fee of about R150 per day, but they also charge per hour if you prefer. 
 

Upon check in we will require the following:

  • Full name and surname
  • An ID document or passport for us to scan
  • Residential address
  • Residence Status in South Africa

Linen and towels are included. Additional pillows and towels are available at reception for hire and will require a deposit that will be returned on returning items at check out.

We would like you and every guest staying at the hostel to have an enjoyable stay , to ensure this we ask that you : 
Treat the space, every other guest and our staff with respect and common courtesy. 

If you cannot do this, we will ask you to please leave the premises immediately

100% cancellation fee applies to any reservation cancelled within 3 days of arrival. If you cancel more than 3 days before planned arrival then there is no charge.

We reserve the right to charge a deposit for any bookings that are for long periods (over 14 days), for a total of more than R 5000, or in extremely busy periods such as around New Years, 2 Oceans or Argus. Failure to charge your card this deposit may result in your booking being cancelled.

The Honey Badger Bar does not serve alcohol to guests under the age of 18 years of age.
